U.S. Military Academy at West Point (2022)

During my time with the United States Military Academy I served as the Social Media Manager, Digital Content Administrator, and Assistant Editor to the Pointer View. This role included managing their Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and my favorite Instagram. (Due to government regulation, TikTok was not approved for use.)

Strategy, innovation, and consistency were key factors for the success of these accounts. After analyzing, I set clear goals before taking responsibility of the accounts. The nonstop action and one-of-a-kind mission kept West Point relevant in the said platform’s algorithms as well coinciding with the academy’s biggest moments and moments of interest.

I am so proud of the journey and experiences these platforms offered fans, alumni, future cadets, the U.S. Army, and myself as a creator/manager.

Consistent covered treatment, within Instagram specifically, allowed for an easy solution to unify content visually while keeping the profile feed aesthetically appealing.

I created original content by way of Instagram Reels. The content was built with a younger follower and/or future cadet in mind.

Other opportunities for successful videos were supplemental to larger happenings engaging with West Point community was vital to the success of these accounts.
